A Study on Staphyslide-Test^(¢ç)(Slide agglutinotion) for the indentification of Staphylococcus aureus

Abstract
The coagulase test in used to differentiate species within the genus staphylococcus. A positive coagulase test (tube or slide) is usually final diagnostic criterion for the identification of staphylococcus. But this test has many advantages such as the preparation of plasma, the appearance of false positivity by other bacteria and long incubation of negative coagulation. Staphyslide test (Slide agglutination) is known to use the principle that a protein receptor capable of combing with fibrinogen in on staphylococcus aureus. Staphyslidetest is more sensitive and specific than other test for the identification of staphylococcus aureus.
1. Among the etotal of 104 strain of staphylococcus, illustrations showed positivity in the tests of staphyslide test and coagulase test were 76 strain (73.0%) and 72 strain (69.2%) in each cases. Among the 76 strain those illustrated positive result in staphyslide-test, the four 4 strain illustrated dormant results in the normal coagulase test and coincided point ratio was 94.7%.
2. Among the strain those have illustrated analysis of mannitol in mannitol salt agar, strain shown positive vesulte in the test of staphyslide test and normal coagulase test were 76 strain (93.8%) and 72 strain (88. 9%) in each cases.
3. In comparison with 100% of reappearance, repeated test of staphyslide test, the coagulase tube test showed occasional dormancy and reappearance was 87%.
4. In staphyslide test, showed good sensibility, peculiarity and reappearance in comparison with the normal coagulase test in metivation of S. aureaus, so it is believed that it has a strong point to obtain prompt results.
